In the past 2 weeks i've just been busy with work & school. My next class started and it seems ok so far. I'm taking Vulnerable Populations Across the Lifespan. Basically its a nursing course that deals with public & community health. I think this is perfect timing with all this flu stuff going around... Sounds like lots of fun right?!
I also had my first appointment with the Midwives! I was so nervous, yet I don't know why. The first visit is pretty simple. The nurse asked about my medical history, took some blood and a urine sample. We went over my plans for delivery & feeding my baby, which are still in the making, but i'm pretty sure I'm going to do this as natural as possible and I will be breastfeeding. I chose the Midwives because I want to be active in my plan of care and delivery and they totally support that! So, my next appointment is on October 13th and we will get to hear the heartbeat & see our baby for the 1st time!!
Right now, one of my favorite things to eat is anything with cheese!! I wanted to share my favorite recipe for Chicken Spaghetti!
On tonight's menu... Salmon Cakes! I will try & post pics with a recipe ... I'll end this long post with a Pregnancy Survey I found on the internet!
Our baby in the making..
How far along? 9 wks based on mathematical calculation, but a sono coming soon to confirm!
Total weight gain/loss: None either way
Maternity clothes? Nope... my clothes fit loose actually
Stretch marks? None caused by this pregnancy! I had some to begin with :-(
Sleep: Lots of it! I yawn all day long regardless of how much sleep I get.
Best moment this week: Going to my first appointment... Its starting to sort of feel real..
Movement: None, and probably not for a while :-(
Food cravings: Green olives & mac & cheese!!! Yummy!
Gender: Doesn't matter!! Just a healthy baby is what we're praying for...
Labor Signs: No I better not!
Belly Button in or out? I've always had an innie.. Its pretty deep so I don't think that will change
What I miss: Iced Tea, Splenda, Sushi, Margarita's, & my memory and energy! This baby has sucked my brain dry and I feel like a lazy sack of bones...
What I am looking forward to: Seeing my little peanut in 2 wks via sonogram!
Weekly Wisdom: It goes by so fast! Enjoy everyday and get all the sleep you can!
Milestones: No nausea & morning sickness!!! Yay me!

Yay awesome! As tired as you are, keep up with the updates! I want to live vicariously through you!
Brianna, it's hard to read your blog with the gray colored font!
Hope all goes well at your next appointment! Maybe it will be twins! :)
Your chicken spaghetti sounds interesting! LOL! I'll have to give it a try as it looks easy and quick enough for after practice dinner!
Happy Friday!
