Thankful Thursday!

Yes, that's right! We're expecting!! We are so excited to see what God has in store for us during this wonderful journey. I know that many people have been praying for us and we wanted to express our thanks to everyone & thanks for adding us to your prayer lists! We are still in the "shocked & amazed" phase... I actually found out when I was at work. I was having a horrible day and it seemed like I couldn't keep up with my fast-paced floor. Towards the end of the day, I was having sharp pains in my stomach accompanied with an icky bloated/crampy feeling. I'm a patient of the Midwives at my hospital, so I just walked over to their office to get checked out, and sure enough I was pregnant! It was so hard for me to function through the rest of my shift, because I was already overwhelmed with my patients and now I had big news to share with Brian. I maintained my composure, and I told him that night when I got home from work. Needless to say, he was overjoyed! I had to take another pregnancy test when I got home, just to make sure.

Over the holiday weekend, we enjoyed sharing the good news with our family & friends. I really like to tell important news in person, so we made trips all over DFW to spread the news. I have my first appointment in the next couple of weeks and I can't wait!
