Our New President

God has blessed Obama with this opportunity and if people (black, white, mexican, etc) cannot see that, we have more than just a racial issue! If McCain would have won, I would believe that the Lord found him fit to run this country.... We need to remember that this isn't about our plans, its about His plan! I pray for Obama and his family because there is SO much hate in this world and with this election racism is more apparent than ever. Its just sad to see people acting like this and Obama isn't even 100% black and some white people are treating him this way! I find it interesting how so many people try to "act like" or pretend "to be black", but are terrified of a biracial president. I've seen many whites, hispanics, etc who embrace the african american culture in music, style, slang-words, interacial relationships, etc, but when it comes to the commander in chief all of those people who claim to support blacks wouldn't support a half black president even if he was fit for the job!?!?!

My point is, everyone is making this about race even if they don't want to admit it and I feel like this election has brought out the worst in alot of people :( If we as a country don't watch ourselves and biases, we will become even more divided than we already are. African Americans have historically been Democrats, so the only thing different with this election is that we got out there and voted! God Bless America!

- I'm done with my political rant... I just had to say it because it seems like everyone is "tip-toeing" ( I know that's not a word lol..) around the race issue on facebook and myspace and I just felt like addressing it.
