Good Weekend!

My last few posts have been me venting about work and I've realized that it's not all that bad and I need to be thankful for my job as it has allowed me to do sooooo many things. So no more sad and angry posts for awhile lol!

After working Thursday and Friday, I was really looking forward to Brian & I's four day weekend. On Saturday, I did a little shopping and had lunch at P.F. Changs with one of my best friends Jillian and her daughter Natalynn. Here's a pic of her:

Saturday night, we went to dinner & a movie with our friends Rod & Ashley. It's always nice to see and spend time with your friends. I definitely learned alot about toddlers and what a 15 month old likes to do. There is so much planning that goes into a day out with a child... I don't know if we're ready for that lol :)

Sunday was a very productive day for Brian and I. Since we are attempting to save money where we can, we decided that instead of paying our lawn service $75 to change out our flowers, we would attempt to do it ourselves. We went to Home Depot to buy new winter flowers and a few extra shrubs. I picked out some purple, red and orange Pansies because they are supposed to last until spring. I also bought a few extra bushes to fill in my flower bed. Here are a few pictures:
Unloading my car

Digging up the old flowers

New shrubs!

It really wasn't as bad as I thought. Pulling the weeds out was a little strenuous, but not too bad. I definitely had to overcome my fear of dirt and bugs! I didnt see any spiders, so I guess Orkin is really working... well they better be as expensive as they are! I'll post before and after pics after the Miracle gro starts working...

I also found time to experiment with my new nail art kit from the fair!

So, Brian and I plan to go to IKEA and Grapevine Mills on Monday. Neither of us have been to IKEA, so I'm really looking forward to that... New furniture maybe?
