Well I hope this week went well for everyone. The first week is always the most difficult, so lets celebrate because we've survived!
This was a tough week for me. When I'm at work, my normal food just isn't enough! I guess its because I work 12hr shifts, but I am really hungry when I work. I wake up at 5am and I drink Slim Fast while I'm driving. I eat breakfast around 9:30 and I have lunch around 2pm. I don't have time for snacks unfortunately, so when I get off work around 7:15pm, I am starving!! I'm trying to figure out a way to get a snack time in, but its hard and I barely get a break to go to the bathroom at work!
My workouts have been a disappointment. I really only worked out twice and that's pushing it. I used my elliptical machine once, cleaned my house, and while I was out work, I walked the halls and I took the stairs. Now, I'm a nurse at a hospital so I did ALOT of walking (on top of my usual) and our stairs are ridiculously long & steep! I was literally out of breath! I plan to get on a better workout schedule, but its just so hard with work and school.
So my results:
*I lost 5lbs! I was definitely shocked because I hadn't really worked out. I will say that on Wednesday, I only ate once. My brother was in the hospital and I spent all day taking care of him and getting him situated back at home. Maybe that gave me an extra 2-3 lbs?
I feel good all over and 2 other people this week at work asked me if I've lost weight!
I know that I will not continue to have these huge results. My body is just in complete shock because I was eating so unhealthy and I weighed more than I should. I haven't had ANY fast food including Subway in over 2 weeks. I have also cut out pasta, bread, and rice. Now, if I'm dying, I have whole wheat bread, brown rice, and whole wheat pasta at my house. So far I just haven't had the desire to have any. I think my stomach has shrunk because I don't eat near as much food as I did about 3 weeks ago.
I hope all of the Beauties are doing well! We CAN do this :-)

5 pounds!! Goodness...you should be proud! Keep it up, and yes, try to grab a granola bar or something to eat for another snack. Its so much better for you to keep your metabolism going. (I was about to blog that on the results page!!)I think some are skipping meals...great job!! Tanna
awesome first week for you!! keep up the good work!
Great first week!! Keep up the good work!! We all can do this!!
Go you! Congrats on the 5lbs!!!
I'm great! Congrats on your marriage too! I'm glad to hear from you - I think we actually live near each other, haha. You can do the challenge! Great job this week!
Congrats on the progress!!!!! Its always better to eat several small meals than big meals or none. It keeps your body working. Granola is the best, to me, because it fills you up pretty quickly. Not only that, Nature's Valley has some healthy ones with Chocolate (i know chocolate is out but it is really low in sugar and carbs and calories!)
