Introductions!

So... I think I will be begin this blog by introducing ourselves and catching everyone up to our current life. Ok... here we go!
Brian and I first met when I was in the 6th grade and he was in the 7th grade in Cedar Hill, TX. He was my brother's friend and we would see each other occasionally around the neighborhood. Once I completed the 7th grade, I moved to Grand Prairie, TX. Brian and I then met again in 2001 during the summer before my Junior year in high school. My step-brother brought him over to my house and we started dating about a week or so after that.

Here's some pics of us from high school!

So Brian graduated from Cedar Hill High School in 2002 and I graduated from South Grand Prairie High School in 2003. Brian then went to Navarro College in Corsicana and I went to UTA. After 1 year at Navarro, we realized that long distance relationships are difficult, so Brian came back home and went to UTA.

Shortly after moving back, Brian and I got married secretly in a private ceremony :) We were young (20 yrs old) and we didn't want anyone to try and stop us, so we just did it! So after 4 years of dating we got married and moved in at UTA. We lived on campus for 2 1/2 years until Brian and I both graduated in December 2007. I did not finish at UTA because my employer offered their own nursing program which was absolutely free for me! So we were truly blessed with that opportunity because we were broke college newlyweds and a free education is very hard to come by these days! Yea for El Centro College! Brian and I both work for the same companies that we did during college, just with better positions. JPMorgan Chase and Texas Health Resources have been very good to us through out the years....

In January 2008 now 22 and 23 yrs old, Brian and I bought our first home! I thought this would be grueling process, but we found a house in a week and closed early about 2 weeks later... We got moved in and settled before I even started my first full-time job! Thank goodness for Brian's knowledge of credit, finance, and family!!! We absolutely love our home and our neighborhood... Close to family, but not too close...haha :)

So, our address is Grand Prairie 75054, BUT it's really Mansfield. I know it's confusing... we live on a peninsula within Joe Pool Lake... Part is GP and the other Mansfield. We pay Mansfield school taxes, have a Mansfield area code (682) and if we had children they would go to Mansfield ISD, so we just say that we live in Mansfield :)

So here are a few pics of the house and our neighborhood:

One of three pools in the neighborhood.

The yard looks alot better now that we have a landscaping company:) Thanks J&J Lawn and Tree Service...lol!

Us at our housewarming party!

I'll post more pics of the house as we continue decorating and furnishing it....

So that's pretty much where we're at now in our lives. I hope it was short and sweet... Basically... we're not your typical 20 something year olds... We are young, educated professionals that LOVE Jesus and like to live life to the fullest!

I hope this blog turns out ok and pictures work... Thanks for reading!!!!

Thank you for sending this to your Dad and I. We are so very proud of both of you. We love you both so much and we could not have asked for better children...ha ha young adults. We will always be here for you. You are the perfect example of young adults doing what is right and improving society and contributing positiveness to it. They try to say that this generation...your generation, is going to hell in a handbasket. Well, looking at the two of you, it sounds like a lie to me. Keep being the wonderful people you are. You both have great values and morals....and I want to believe that both your parents had a lot to do with that in how we all raised you. Ok, this was longer than I had planned....We love you and will forever be proud of you.
